BERITA KBB- Nazmul Khan is a Permanent Resident (PR) of Singapore who works as a Regional Service Director, in the field of Cyber Security Form based in Singapore.
A Bangladeshi man with a Masters's degree in Business Administration from Murdoch University has been living in Singapore for the past 16 years.
He saw many migrant workers in Singapore, especially from Bangladesh, who needed support to empower themselves to improve their quality of life.
10 years back, Nazmul Khan started volunteering to understand and get to know the local community better.
He started mixing with locals and migrant workers while sharing about the history of Bangladesh, culture, tourism, etc.

It also inspires fellow migrants from Bangladesh and other countries to be able to confidently mix with the locals.
In this process, Nazmul saw many migrant brothers and sisters doing the same job without any career growth.
Many of them did not get the right or opportunity to go further with their education and improve their skills in Singapore due to the costly fees and time constraints.

Nazmul Khan finally began counselling migrant friends from different groups until he realized that he would not be able to accomplish his good intentions of helping others if he worked alone.
Acknowledging that, he immediately discussed with some volunteer friends to join him to create the 24asia volunteer group team in 2018.
Nazmul Khan helps a lot of migrant groups to organize concerts, and cultural shows, counselling and supporting them in maintaining their mental health.

He also worked together with Kari Tamura, one of the Co-founders of the SamaSama community to help inspire fellow migrants to have a better life.
Nazmul Khan is now also known as a trusted advisor among the Singapore Migrant communities.
He reached out to all his friends who work in 22 different countries to join 24asia volunteers and connect them on his virtual platform to achieve the best results in helping fellow migrants.
He started a Zoom session with all his migrant friends and continued to help them learn about mental health, soft skills and technical skills. It didn't take long for the volunteer team to reach over 100 members.
Through 24asia he started teaching MS Office, Graphic Design, Video Editing, Public Speaking, Article Writing, Personal Branding and also Professional CV Writing without charging a fee.
Slowly, he also guides his senior students who are qualified enough to help him in the learning process with new students.

Nazmul Khan said that he believes we all can participate in making community programs successful.
He also conveyed that we cannot blame others for our current condition, instead, we should have a strong determination for a better change, and we must start it now.
He also said that we must keep learning something new and upgrade our abilities and skills to prevent being left behind.

In its progress, 24asia not only helps migrant workers from Bangladesh but also from various countries such as Myanmar, the Philippines including Indonesia.
This achievement is certainly not easy, in the process Nazmul also encountered many obstacles and felt hopeless.
Besides his friends and students, his beloved wife and daughter are his best support system.
His wife and daughter are always encouraging him by saying that "if no one is by your side, we will always be there to support you."
Besides 24asia, Nazmul Khan is also a volunteer worker in many organizations and boards including the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), IMDA, Active SG, Red Cross, National Kidney Foundation, SamaSama, SBS and BDCham.
He also closely works with Welcome In My Backyard (WIMBY), HealthServ, Covid-19 Migrant Support Coalition (CMSC), MediaCorp, FFFA, MCI and MSA.
Began with the intention of helping fellow migrants to improve their quality of life, now 24asia has become known in many countries.
